Current Position
Post-Doctorate Research Fellow (Twente Centre for Studies in Technology and Sustainable Development)

I currently hold the position of a post-doctorate research fellow in the Twente Centre for Studies in Technology and Sustainable Development (CSTM), at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. This position has increased my ability to conduct research that provides further development of my skills and allows me to learn new research techniques.

For the time being, I am working on a project entitled ‘Desired and Feasible Response Strategies'. This research is being conducted between the Netherlands and Northern Lebanon. The projects falls under a bigger project entitled “Conflict and Environment in Northern Lebanon: A longitudinal study of environmental and socio-economic mitigation processes in conflict-affected areas".

This research focuses on desired and feasible response strategies, and at the institutional and political support for adjustment of existing procedures and mechanisms. The objective is “to contribute to more effective post-war approaches for vulnerability-reduction towards, by and within affected communities in the coastal area of North Lebanon”. An innovative approach will be the application of Q-methodology as a means for elucidating the different discourses among the key stakeholders and actors. This methodology has been successfully applied by me in Lebanon, during my PhD studies.
