Bioclimatic Modelling

Today there is growing concern about the potential impact of anthropogenically-induced climate change on biodiversity and its maintenance. The primary cause for terrestrial biodiversity loss, however, is escalating habitat loss and degradation. Considering just these two factors combined, the potential impact of climate change today is great. In few places is concern more intense now than for the biodiversity hotspots of the world.

The two projects here focus on the possible effects of climate change in two areas; Africa and Madagascar, focusing on plants and butterflies respectively.
